Wine Reviews

what people are saying about pinelli estate wines

On occasion, our wines are reviewed by wine critics, food writers, wine magazines and even local bloggers. We are always excited to see what both the expert and the slightly less expert, but no less enthusiastic, wine afficionados are saying about our wines.

We love to talk wine, so are always happy to chat with visitors to our Cellar Door about our winemaking process, our philosophy and share some of our favourite drops.

Below we have featured a few of the reviews of the Pinelli Estate wines.

Pinelli estate 'la tavola' grenache 2017

“Another of the varieties the Swan Valley does so well. This one is a beautiful expression of grenache showing plenty of flavour intensity with a medium body. It’s spicy and fragrant with a soft and supple mid-palate generoisty. Nice chewy tannins are perfect as a food combo. 89/100”

Pinelli estate breanna Rosé 2011

“Opens with a wonderful floral red berry aroma. It’s so fresh and engaging that you can’t wait to get stuck into the light fresh liquid. Bouncy lively palate with a touch of sweet fruit balanced with a crisp fresh acid. Perfect for summer drinking.”

Pinelli estate cabernet merlot 2009

“A drier style of Aussie red with good fruit weight and firmish tannin creating a nice structure. The middle palate is rather soft and generous with a well rounded feel but the sinewy tannins take control on the finish to carry the length.”

Pinelli estate semillon sauvignon blanc 2009

“Unstated percentages of Swan Valley Semillon/Margaret River Sauvignon Blanc work well together to provide plenty of depth of ripe flavours notwithstanding moderate alcohol, which in turn gives acidity to the finish. Gold medal Swan Valley Wine Show ’09.”

James Halliday, Australian Wine Companion 2010 – 2011

Pinelli estate verdelho 2009

“A very well made wine, with clean fruit salad and citrus aromas and flavours, finishing dry and fresh. Trophy Swan Valley Wine Show ’09.”

James Halliday, Australian Wine Companion 2010 – 2011

Pinelli estate sparkling juliet

“I can’t count on one hand, or even two, how many bottles of Pinelli Estate’s Sparkling Juliet have been consumed in my household this year.

It’s an incredibly approachable bottle of sparkles, not to mention it’s great value and the artwork on the label is just a little bit romantic (great for Valentine’s Day too!).

The wonderful Juliet has a lovely creamy texture to it in the mouth with plentiful flavours of orchard fruit (apples, pears) and refreshing citrus. It is so easy to consume. Which means it’s better to buy at least two at a time of this one.”
