Handpicked, destemmed and crushed into small batch open fermenter. Gentle macerated with carefully managed ferment to maximise flavour and tannin structure. Matured in new and old oak for 12 months to create added complexity and depth of flavour.
Merlot is grown on the Estate in Caversham on loamy clay soil and enjoys a long slow ripening. A medium bodied red wine with flavoursome red berry characters and a soft palate with a rounded finish
