Domenic PinelliDomenic has a philosphy that great wines can only be produced by growing the most flavoursome grapes possible. This has meant that a great deal of focus at Pinelli's is spent on vineyard management and incorporates many techniques learnt by Domenic during a lifetime in grapegrowing both in Italy and Australia.
Robert graduated in winemaking from Roseworthy Agricultural College, South Australia (now University of Adelaide), in 1987 and has been winemaker at Pinelli's for over 20 years. Robert has produced many award-winning wines and in 1993 he won a coveted trophy at the Perth Royal Show for his 1993 Chenin Blanc.
After graduating in Civil Engineering from the University of Western Australia in 1994 and working as a Structural Engineer, Daniel pursued his interests in wine and winemaking by joining his brother Robert in 2002. Studying by distance education, Daniel successfully completed his winemaking degree at Charles Sturt University, New South Wales, in 2007 with Distinction and won the Domain Chandon prize for the best Sparkling wine student.
With the basis of fully-flavoured grapes, sons Robert and Daniel Pinelli are able to transform the juice into the finest of premium wines by utilising new-world winemaking techniques in combination with traditional practices built up over centuries and learnt by Domenic growing up in Italy. The combination of Robert and Daniel in the winery, and Domenic in the vineyard, produces a unique blend of enthusiasm and experience which is reflected in their wines' recent successes at wine shows and wine reviews.
